The best camp I've been to, with multiple activities and great food despite being at such a high elevation. They don't treat the older kids like immature children and made sure they feel included :) Although I would recomend changing the showering policy, 5 minutes is way to short for showering times. And the showers at Oak need some attention (The "door" design). But I have no complains about the rooms, they are nice the way it is. Big thanks to the people workin' there :D

I am only halfway through my second week of cooking in the kitchen here at Astrocamp but I can honestly say it is probably the most rewarding job I have ever had. My memories of the food I had to endure at the summer camps I attended as a Boy Scout were reminiscent of bland elementary school cafeteria food. Being able to use my culinary skills for the campers and staff, and being able to see the enjoyment on their faces as they scarf it all down brings me a great sense of accomplishment. Hearing all the compliments from the kids and staff after each meal service makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The fact that I receive lodging during my work week is just the icing on this AMAZING cake!

If I’m being honest, I don’t think they have renovated this place since it opened. Seriously, like, someone call the Property Brothers on HGTV. The food was mid(it’s located on a mountain btw), but the water was 10/10. The water is like fresh from the mountains so it’s really nice water. The people who worked there were so nice though despite dealing with scary middle school kids everyday. I would recommend going because it is kinda a cool experience, but just remember to bring a sleeping bag and pillow because of the bugs. Ima give the whole experience a sold 7/10 cuz I think the beds had bugs living in them.

What a great experience for the kids, the employees there were fantastic, friendly, and encouraged the kids to explore their minds and learn while having fun. You can’t find a better camp. Shout out to Joshua the Summer Program Director, thank you for everything, and the instructors Adam, Luis and Mary were very well informed and wonderful staff.
